To download Phrogram 2.5, click on the "Try Phrogram" link on the navigation menu.
Phrogram requires Windows 2000, XP or Vista. It supports both the 32 bit and 64 bit editions of Vista.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
If you already purchased Phrogram and are running a prior version (2.0, 2.1, or 2.2), downloading the current version will not revert the Phrogram software to the original, 30-day trial version. Your license code will continue to be active. However, you need to uninstall the prior version to upgrade to Phrogram 2.5. Go to the "Add or Remove Software" screen on the Windows Control Panel to do this (this is called "Uninstall or change a program" in Windows Vista).
If you are running Phrogram 2.2 (released November 2007), uninstalling Phrogram should be easy. If you downloaded Phrogram earlier than November 2007 and did not upgrade to 2.2 (that is, you are running 2.0 or 2.1), we had some technical issues with the uninstall process that were solved with 2.2. See below for more information. If you have a problem, try the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility.
The Phrogram installer checks whether .NET Framework 2.0 is installed and includes it in the installation process if it is not detected. Phrogram also requires some DirectX 9.0c components to run 3D programs and programs using game controllers. When installation ends, Phogram opens a browser window and points to a page on Microsoft's web site where you can download DirectX. If you miss that link, click here for more information and a link to the DirectX installer.
PHROGRAM 2.0 and 2.1 - KNOWN INSTALLATION ISSUE:
Some users installing Phrogram 2.2 over 2.0 or 2.1 got an error message saying ‘2.x MSI file [prior version] not found’ which caused the installation process to end prematurely. To avoid this, users needed to go to the folder identified in the error message and rename the Phrogram 2.2.msi file to Phrogram 2.1.msi (or Phrogram v2.0.msi, depending on the prior version already installed on the computer). The folder also needed to be made visible in some cases, if it was hidden. Example (if you are upgrading from 2.1):
C:\Documents and Settings\(PC User Name)\Local Settings\Application Data\Downloaded Installations\{Folder Named As GUID}\Phrogram v2.2.msi ... rename this file to:
C:\Documents and Settings\(PC User Name)\Local Settings\Application Data\Downloaded Installations\{Folder Named As GUID}\Phrogram v2.1.msi
